Privacy Policy

Icefish Player is built to play local media without asking you to hand over your library. This policy explains what the app handles on your devices and what we do not collect.
Local playback
The videos, audio tracks, subtitle files, folders, and images you open are processed on the device where Icefish Player is running. The app does not upload your media to Icefish for playback or compatibility decoding. You choose which files and folders to grant access to through Apple’s file and photo pickers.
Data we receive
Icefish Player does not require an account and we do not receive the contents of your media library. If you contact support, we receive the information you include in that message. Apple may provide us with the transaction status needed to confirm a Pro purchase, restore a purchase, or handle a refund or revocation.
On-device translation
Bilingual Subtitles uses Apple’s on-device language and translation capabilities when available. The subtitle text is sent to Apple’s framework on the device for that translation request; Icefish does not receive or store the text, the translated result, or a copy of your video.
FFmpeg compatibility
Some formats use the app’s bundled LGPL FFmpeg compatibility layer. Decoding happens locally. The app does not use FFmpeg to upload files, contact a media service, or add network access to your videos. Corresponding open-source notices and source-offer information are included with the app’s release materials.
Purchases
Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple’s App Store. Icefish Player does not see your payment card details. The entitlement may be restored on the same Apple Account and is shared across the supported Icefish Player Apple-platform builds according to Apple’s purchase rules.
Your choices
You can remove file or photo access in Apple system settings, turn off Bilingual Subtitles, and delete the app and its local data at any time. You can also ask us about a support request or privacy question by contacting the address below.
Policy updates
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date on this page and, where appropriate, explain the change in an app update.
